Subsea Mudmat

Tech Fab fabricates custom subsea mudmats for the communications, marine and offshore oil and gas industries. We have over 25 years of experience in building mudmats for use in offshore, harsh and demanding environments, and our knowledge and expertise make us uniquely qualified to provide you with the best solution for your application. We use the most up-to-date production methods and equipment to fabricate custom subsea mudmats to meet your exact requirements.

Subsea mudmats are used to provide additional support for equipment on the sea floor when the seabed is too soft to adequately support the equipment. Our experienced staff will work with you to ensure that your mudmat has the required buckling strength to protect your equipment, and that the base and supporting frame are built to accommodate the conditions of the specific location and function of your equipment. Based on soil properties, load and installation requirements, the typical plate mudmat consists of a top plate and vertical load bearing beams known as vertical stiffeners that distribute the load and stress calculated in the custom buckling and design analysis.
