ASME “U” & NBIC “R” Stamps

At Tech-Fab, conforming to established and documented standards of excellence is an important part of our pledge to deliver superior products and services. As part of this commitment, we are pleased to maintain partnerships with multiple professional organizations, including the American Society of Mechanical Engineers and the National Board Inspection Code.

ASME “U” Stamp

Tech-Fab products bearing the ASME “U” stamp meet requirements published in the organization’s Boiler and Pressure Vessels Code. This code, which contains 12 subsections, provides detailed information on the construction, inspection and testing of qualified products. The ASME “U” stamp is recognized throughout the United States, Canada, and over 100 other countries worldwide. Established in 1880, the American Society of Mechanical Engineers has been offering this certification to member companies and their products since 1916.

NBIC “R” Stamp

The NBIC “R” stamp covers pressure relief equipment, along with pressure vessels and boilers. The guideline specifies procedures relating to the manufacture, installation, inspection, alteration, and repair of these precision devices. NBIC standards are updated biannually to ensure that they reflect evolving best practices and improving technologies. During revision years, updates are published on the NBIC’s official website and become accessible to the public during the month of August. The National Board Inspection Code was first launched in 1946.

Tech-Fab invites prospective and existing clients to review our internal quality control manual and ISO 9001:2008 certification to learn more about our quality commitment and demanding standards.
